Here’s a presentation I gave at the Boulder WordPress Meetup last week. It was right when COVID first hit, so I was (I think) the first person ever to give a virtual presentation to the group.
Have you seen these pictures on Instagram of the breathtakingly-beautiful Hindu temple in Bali, Indonesia? People pose between stone posts with mountains in the background, with a mirror-smooth reflection of themselves coming from a lake below. Isn’t it stunning? Doesn’t it make you want to stop what you’re doing and get on an airplane and fly to Bali right now?
For nearly a dozen years, the work that I do for a living has allowed me to work from almost anywhere. I can take my work with me anywhere: home, a coffee shop, the bookstore, the gym, my kids’ school, the airport, another country, on a boat, etc.

For many years, I had always wondered what it would be like to take a ride on a hot air balloon. It wasn’t something I thought about often, but every once in a while, I’d be driving around town, especially early in the morning, and I’d spot a hot air balloon, and think: “Cool! That would be fun to try someday.”
